synopsis.
In a suburban town that at first glance seems like any ordinary countryside, the reality is far from ordinary. The residents are facing an unusual crisis.
Amidst this, Shizuru Chikura harbors a resolute wish—to reunite with her missing friend, no matter the risk. Shizuru and her companions board an abandoned train,
long since immobilized, venturing into an outside world where their safety is uncertain. What destiny awaits them at the final stop of this apocalypse train, as it begins its uncertain journey?
Introducing Characters
Shizuru Chikura (千倉 静留, Chikura Shizuru)
Heading out with friends on a train to search for a suddenly missing best friend, acting impulsively rather than thinking things through,
this person is a leader who is both reliable and hard to ignore. Skilled in jujutsu, learned from their grandfather, they are also confident in their physical abilities.
Nadeshiko Hoshi (星 撫子, Hoshi Nadeshiko)
With a gentle and calm nature, and a dislike for conflict, they speak their mind clearly when needed.
Often acting as a mediator, they break up fights between Reimi and Akira, serve as a confidant to Shizuru, and play a central role in keeping the group together.
Their real name is “Nadeshiko,” but they are affectionately called “Nadeko.” Skilled in archery, they excel in using projectile weapons.
Reimi Kuga (久賀 玲実, Kuga Reimi)
Fascinated by urban life and a lover of all things cute, they are straightforward in both personality and emotional expression.
Not the best at analytical thinking, they possess keen senses and an intuition reminiscent of a wild child. They have a fondness for the anime “Alice in Nerima’s Kingdom.”
Akira Shinonome (東雲 晶, Shinonome Akira)
They enjoy reading complex books and are knowledgeable about a wide range of trivia. Trying to act mature,
they often come off as all talk with a demeanor that’s actually childish and easily scared for their age. They frequently tease Reimi with sarcastic remarks, leading to regular verbal spats.
Yōka Nakatomi (中富 葉香, Nakatomi Yōka)
We’ve been friends since elementary school, and I’ve especially spent a lot of time with Shizuru.
She’s the type to quietly watch over everyone with a smile, modest in expressing her own opinions and reserved. She’s gone missing, and everyone is worried about her.
Pochi-san (ポチさん)
The Akita dog kept at my best friend’s house, who has gone missing. With its keen sense of smell and ability to detect irregularities, it has been helpful to everyone.
Zenjirō (善治郎)
I had been working in the city but returned to Agano about two years ago. The atmosphere has completely changed since before.
