The Japanese light novel series “Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World” was created by Kei Sazane with illustrations by Ao Nekonabe.
Since its inception in May 2017, Fujimi Shobo, a part of Kadokawa Corporation, has released fifteen volumes and three collections of short stories under the Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint.
The series was also adapted into a manga by Okama, which ran in Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine from May 2018 until March 2021.
Both the light novel and manga have been licensed by Yen Press for North American distribution.
An anime adaptation produced by Silver Link was broadcast from October to December 2020, and a second season involving Silver Link and Studio Palette is scheduled to debut in July 2024.
Synopsis
