“My Deer Friend Nokotan” is a manga series from Japan, created by Oshioshio. It started appearing in Kodansha’s Shōnen Magazine Edge in November 2019.
When the magazine ceased publication in October 2023, the series moved to Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website in December 2023.
An animated TV series, produced by Wit Studio, is scheduled to debut in July 2024.
Synopsis
Koshi Torako is a high school student known as a model student in her neighborhood and school, but she is secretly hiding her past as a former delinquent.
One day on her way to school, she rescues Noko Shikanoko, a girl with horns who was caught in power lines.
To Torako’s surprise, Noko quickly recognizes her hidden past. Later, when Torako arrives at school, she finds out that Noko has joined her class as a new transfer student.

Torako Koshi (虎視虎子, Koshi Torako) / Koshitan (こしたん)
A student at Tokyo Metropolitan Hino Minami High School is seen as demure and well-behaved by her peers, but she actually has a past as a delinquent.
Her nickname is “Koshitan.” She often finds herself being dragged into various antics by Noko Shikanoko.
She joins the “Deer Club” and is appointed as the club president. By her third year, she has become the student council president.
Anko Koshi (虎視餡子, Koshi Anko)
Torako Koshi’s younger sister is a huge siscon (sister complex). Her nickname is “Koshian.”
After graduating from middle school, she enrolls at Tokyo Metropolitan Hino Minami High School and joins the Deer Club.
Meme Bashame (馬車芽めめ, Bashame Meme)
A new first-year student joins when Nokotan and her friends are in their third year.
This student loves rice so much that they even participate in rice planting themselves. They join the Deer Club.
